Building builds in 1730 and 1750 by the count of Bourdonnaye-Blossac, by including the old(former) hotel of Brie cheese(Brie) dating the 17th century. From its edification, the building(ship) was rented(praised) by the city community to serve for house to the commander-in-chief of the province of Brittany, from 1732 till 1789\\. During revolutionary time(period), the hotel is the theatre of popular events(demonstrations). After Revolution, the hotel was rented(praised) to diverse individuals. The writer Paul Féval was born there in 1816\\. The hotel is one of the works the most representative of the architecture of the 18th century in Rennes.
