Heritage is created through the connection of various peoples, communities, and cultures, thereby establishing shared values, practices, and legacies. Protection of heritage requires the same approach – the networking of all public policy actors to ensure that heritage is adequately protected and promoted. The concept of the creative economy is based on the idea that tradition, history, and culture can serve as a foundation for sustainable economic development of local communities through their creative use and interpretation.

Panel will examine the dynamics of establishing cooperation between different stakeholders in cultural heritage protection and creative economy local development with focus on positive examples in Serbia.
