After seven years of studies, research, inventory, files, and two years of work, the Boutique des Colporteurs opened its doors to visitors on July 1, 2013\\. Come and discover the atmosphere of a real shop of the late nineteenth century and the incredible adventure of the peddlers of Haut Couserans. The Souquet house houses an old shop with multiple vocation: grocery, hardware, haberdashery, jewelry and objects of piety, which also served as a place of supply for peddlers. The peddlers were eagerly awaited in the villages: they brought news from the world and novelties, fashion, modernity… Their arrival was always a small event! An exceptional heritage and a project of preservation and valorisation carried by the municipality of Soueix-Rogalle, with the support of the association for the heritage of Soueix-Rogalle.
