The museum of Parthenay was inaugurated in 1935\\. It was three times moved before arriving at the foot of the door Saint Jacques, its current location. Works presented in the museum give us an overview of art and of history(story) of Parthenay and of the gâtine of the Middle Ages in contemporary time(period). You will find there in particular an earthenware collection which made the fame of the city.
