The service(department) of the local archives occupies the ground floor of the Palace of the States of Bourgogne since 1831\\. The building(ship) made the object of a classification(ranking) in conformance with(for) Historic monuments in 1926\\. The most old(former) kept(preserved) archive documents date the XIIth century. Cartulaires, deliberations, documents of town planning and financiers allow to redraw history(story) and evolution of the city(estate) as well as everyday life of his inhabitants.
