The Pierre Messmer Cultural Centre is a structure located in the city of Saint-Avold. It includes a concert hall, a media library and an art and essay cinema (François Truffaut cinema). Open to rental, it is also a great creation and dissemination tool for organizing various events (conferences, assemblies, meetings, galas, etc.). In 1981, the municipality decided to build a Cultural Action Centre. After nearly two years of work, the C.A.C. was inaugurated on January 25, 1986\\. The management is then entrusted to the A.C.B.H.L. (Action Culturelle du Bassin Houllier Lorrain), and then ensured by the municipality in 1996\\. In May 2008, the C.A.C. became the Pierre Messmer Cultural Centre.
