It is estimated that the castle was built around the fourteenth century, fifteenth century on the site of an earlier building, the quadrangular keep was built in the eleventh century The medieval fortress of Folleville dominates the valley of the Noye. This place was to conquer and was at the heart of the Hundred Years War. Redeveloped as a pleasure residence by Raoul de Lannoy, who received several kings of France there at the end of the 15th and early 16th centuries, the old medieval fortress experienced a long decline from the 18th century. Its partial demolition was then undertaken by the Duke of Mailly from 1777\\. The ruins of the castle are now the property of the Community of Communes Avre Luce Noye and serves as a showcase for cultural events throughout the year.
