Make the most of every meter of Getxo’s spectacular coastal landscape by diving into its nature and history along the four and a half kilometers that connect Punta Galea and Punta Begoña, guided by our team. 

Along the way, we will stop at its crossings, landmarks, and forks to discover the historical and heritage highlights of the town: the formation of the flysch, prehistoric settlements, military constructions, the structures of economic takeoff, the remains of wars, businesses, wealth, intrigues, crises, and ruins from the last century… And also its significance in Bizkaia and the Basque Country.
 

An open experience to learn about the history and heritage of Getxo in an enjoyable, practical way… and in contact with nature!

GETXO, DE PUNTA A PUNTA 

Aprovecha cada metro del espectacular paisaje costero de Getxo para adentrarte en su naturaleza y su historia recorriendo los cuatro kilómetros y medio que unen Punta Galea y Punta Begoña, de la mano de nuestro equipo. A lo largo de este camino nos pararemos en sus cruces, hitos, bifurcaciones… para conocer las claves históricas y patrimoniales del municipio: la formación del flysch, los asentamientos prehistóricos, las construcciones militares, las estructuras del despegue económico, los restos de guerras, negocios, riquezas, intrigas, crisis y ruinas del último siglo… Y también su relevancia en Bizkaia y Euskadi. 

Una experiencia abierta para conocer la historia y el patrimonio de Getxo de forma amena, práctica… ¡y en contacto con la naturaleza!

GETXO, ALDERIK ALDE 

Aprobetxatu Getxoko kostaldeko paisaia ikusgarriko metro bakoitza bertoko naturan eta historian murgiltzeko, gure taldearen eskutik, Punta Galea eta Punta Begoña lotzen dituzten lau kilometro eta erdiko ibilbidearen eskutik. 

Bidean zehar, bertoko bide-buruetan, mugarrietan eta bidegurutzeetan geratuko gara, udalerriaren historiaeta ondare-gakoak ezagutzeko: flyscharen eraketa, historiaurreko kokalekuak, eraikuntza militarrak, hazkunde ekonomikoaren egiturak, gerren hondarrak, negozioak, aberastasunak, azpijokoak, krisiak eta azken mendeko hondamendiak… Baita Bizkaian eta Euskadin duen garrantzia ere.
