FOLLOW THE PATH! THE CULTURAL LANDSCAPE OF OMA

We live in the era of high speed, yet we can still see the traces of another world: villages and neighborhoods, farmhouses, mills, forges, and the network of paths that cross the territory like a nervous system. The goal of this activity will be to learn how to read that landscape. We will walk through the Oma neighborhood along the old path to discover the microcosm of the rural society of Kortezubi. The path will be the thread through which we will weave together names, trades, and relationships, to ultimately understand how this 'lesser' heritage conceals an entire universe of connections.

¡SIGUE EL CAMINO! EL PAISAJE CULTURAL DE OMA

Vivimos en la era de la alta velocidad, pero tenemos a la vista las huellas de otro mundo: pueblos y barrios, caseríos, molinos, ferrerías; también la red de caminos que atraviesa el territorio como un sistema nervioso. El objetivo de esta actividad consistirá en aprender a leer ese paisaje. Recorreremos el barrio de Oma por el antiguo camino para conocer el microcosmos de la sociedad rural de Kortezubi. El camino será el eje a través del cual hilaremos nombres, oficios y relaciones para, finalmente, comprender cómo ese patrimonio ‘menor’ oculta todo un universo de relaciones.

Abiadura eta distantzia handien aroan bizi gara, baina begibistan ditugu beste mundu baten aztarnak: herriak eta auzoak, baserriak, errotak eta burdinolak; baita lurraldea zain-sistema batek bezala zeharkatzen duten bide-sarea ere.
