Located in the heart of the Cévennes National Park, the Climatographe - Observatoire du mont Aigoual - is a mecca of environmental, heritage and scientific history. It is on the historic site itself that it was chosen to install an interpretation and awareness center initiated from the history of a site dedicated, since its creation in 1894, to scientific and technical research. Fully aware of climate change and its sometimes devastating effects on the planet, the community of communes Causses Aigoual Cévennes - Terres solidaires associated with Météo France has taken up the challenge by creating a centre capable of presenting in an objective way, understandable by all, the causes, consequences and actions to be taken to limit the phenomenon and its impacts.
