SACRED NEOLITHIC PATHS IN MUNARRIKOLANDA

The ridge of Munarrikolanda in Sopela holds significant Neolithic-Chalcolithic megalithic heritage. A hiking route runs along its peaks, which were used 5,000–6,000 years ago as sacred spaces and territorial markers. We will explore this itinerary of funerary practices with Iñaki Libano, observing the construction of these sites, their preservation amid environmental and urban changes, the damage they have suffered, and how to protect them. From the summit, we will locate Neolithic settlements such as Sahierrikolanda, Sopelamendi, and Landaluce, and showcase tools from the era through experimental archaeology.

VÍAS SAGRADAS DEL NEOLÍTICO EN MUNARRIKOLANDA Itinerario guiado El cordal de Munarrikolanda en Sopela contiene un importante patrimonio del megalitismo Neolítico-Calcolítico. Una ruta de sendero recorre sus cumbres, usadas hace 5000- 6000 años como espacios sagrados e hitos territoriales. Recorreremos con Iñaki Libano el itinerario de prácticas funerarias, observando su construcción, conservación ante cambios ambientales y urbanísticos, daños sufridos y cómo preservarlos. Desde la cima situaremos los asentamientos neolíticos de Sahierrikolanda, Sopelamendi y Landaluce, y mostraremos herramientas de la época mediante arqueología experimental.

NEOLITOKO MUNARRIKOLANDAKO BIDE SAKRATUAK 

Munarrikolanda gailurreriak (Sopela) Neolitoko-Kalkolitoko megalitismo ondare garrantzitsua du. Ibilbidea gailur-lerrotik igaroko da, 5000-6000 urteko toki sakratu eta lurralde-mugarri izan direlako. Hileta-ohiturak egiteko erabiltzen zen ibilbidea jarraituko dugu, haien eraikuntza, ingurune- eta hirigintzaaldaketak, kalteak eta etorkizunerako zaintza aztertuz. Gailurreriako tokirik garaienetik, Sahierrikolanda, Sopelamendi eta Landaluzeko kokaleku neolitikoak ikusiko ditugu, eta arkeologia esperimentalaren bidez egindako aro hartako tresnak erakutsiko ditugu.
