The Historial is located in the chapel and the cuvier of the Château de Camponac, the only vestige of Pessac’s wine heritage in the public domain. At the origin of the foundation of the Historial, Raphaël Saint-Orens, a local historian of old stock. Managed for years by the association of «Friends of the Beautiful and the Old Pessac», the Historial passed in the end of 2016 in the hands of «Passeurs de Mémoire». The museum tells the story of Pessac and its famous and famous inhabitants through various objects, tools and documents bequeathed by generations of Pessacais.
