Discover an exhibition under the vaults of an 18th century cellar
The court of the Benedictine priory of Feldbach embodies a place steeped in history, anchored in time through various significant events. Originally dedicated to the monastery of Feldbach in 1251 by the bishop of Basel, this site has undergone several significant phases. In the hands of the Jesuits of Ensisheim in the seventeenth century and then the Jesuits of Colmar before the Revolution, it saw its structures strengthened by the exploitation of the mountain of Vorhof to build a new cellar in 1742. In 1793, the court was sold to Jean-Jacques Jaeglé and Anne Catherine Mangold, marking a significant change of ownership. During the 19th century, Joseph Kuehn and his wife Marie-Agathe Bressler transformed part of the building into the inn "Aux deux clefs", a renowned place for gastronomy and hospitality.
