Aperçu

The Pavillon des Jouets, run by the French association Le Pavillon International des Arts, founded in 2021 by visual artist photographer Gao Bo, is a place created for artists. It is a meeting place between creation and territory, in twinning with its counterpart, Espace BoArt Beijing, created in Beijing in 2008, which welcomes artists in residence. The association aims to become a key player in contemporary art and international cultural cooperation in Vernon and, more broadly, in Normandy. It aims to welcome artists in residence, exhibitions, artistic and cultural encounters and events, for local populations and professionals. A place steeped in history: the building of the Pavillon des Jouets, built in 1920 by the Deglos brothers, has a fascinating history. Once a coffee roasting plant, it is now a precious testimony to the small industrial heritage of the early twentieth century, with its glass roof and period fireplace.
