The Choisinets Historic Site is an imposing and atypical ruins complex nestled at the bottom of a small margeride valley northeast of the Lozère near the village of Saint-Flour de Mercoire. It consists of two old towers of a castle of the 12th and 13th century and an old orphanage and a former church of the 19th century. The site is being secured and the first restoration work will begin by the end of 2021 on the church thanks to the Mission of Stéphane Bern which has designated this place as a networking site for the year 2020 for the department of Lozère. The owner’s association aims to safeguard this rural heritage to make it accessible to as many people as possible: construction of a green amphitheatre, place of walk and cultural events in a first time.
