The event will commence in the centre of Ayvalık Mutluköy Mahallesi and its olive groves. Through a field trip, young participants will learn about the production, harvesting and transportation of olives, the raw material that forms the basis of Ayvalık's industrial heritage. The second field study, to be conducted in the Ayvalık Industrial Landscape, will provide information about factories, soap factories, oil workshops, chimneys and warehouses. Following a talk at soap master Murat KARŞIN's soap workshop, participants will take part in a workshop led by Zeynep SABUNCUGİL at the Ayvalık Municipality Olive Gallery (Vakıflar Old Olive Oil Factory).
