Seaweed Talk/Demo Heritage Week 2025 A workshop that explores the culinary, historical and nutritional uses Of over 14 types of seaweed and demonstrates how to sustainably harvest them. BIO Oonagh O'Dwyer is an organic horticulturist, trainer, forager, Founder of WildKitchen which specialises in immersive, educational food and nature experiences and events. Particular interest in native Irish plants and their protection. August begins at 12 noon with ancient Ogham script creations, at the Liscannor Community Centre and ends after Eilish McCarthy's presentation of her new book, 'Two Islands'. Following that we hope to introduce you to ocean-side conservation foraging, water purification, climate control, safety precautions/procedures, guidance and limitations, all Weather permitting.
