Overview With a history stretching back 500 years, Provan Hall is one of Glasgow’s oldest houses, and is said to be one of Scotland’s most haunted. Recently restored to its former glory, visitors can now wander through the 16th century rooms with their multimedia interpretation and period-appropriate furnishings, visit a temporary exhibition in the 18th century wing, or step into the 20th century formal gardens which were inspired by those of the 17th century. From courtiers of Mary, Queen of Scots to a hero of the Titanic, many fascinating figures have called this place home. A visit to Provan Hall is to travel through time, and all surrounded by the beautiful Auchinlea Park, and just a stone’s throw a range of shops and cafes. We have a quiet space and support bags with ear defenders and activities for children and adults on the autistic spectrum. The ground floor is accessible for narrow wheelchairs. There will be hot drinks and sweet snacks.
