Our headquarters at County Place serves as a heritage hub and starting point for our tours, providing an accessible and welcoming space that celebrates local identity, architecture, and legacy. As part of Doors Open Days, we are excited to present our specially curated “Introduction to Paisley” walking tours. Each tour lasts approximately 30 minutes and offers an engaging overview of the town’s history. Highlights will include notable landmarks such as Paisley Abbey, the Town Hall, the Coats Memorial, and key architectural sites along the High Street. Led by passionate local guides, these tours aim to spark interest in our comprehensive heritage experiences. During both days of Doors Open Days, we will offer a series of short “Introduction to Paisley” walking tours from our County Place HQ. These half-hour taster sessions will provide visitors with a glimpse into Paisley's rich history, featuring key landmarks, intriguing stories, and local characters. Guests are also invited to explore our heritage hub and engage with our guides about Paisley’s architectural legacy and cultural revival. In addition, we are thrilled to launch our brand-new Children’s Treasure Hunt, an interactive experience designed to encourage families to discover Paisley’s historic landmarks and hidden gems while learning about the town’s heritage in a fun and accessible way. Our venue is on the ground floor and accessible via a flat entrance. While the building is wheelchair accessible, we do not currently have an accessible toilet on site. Nearest public accessible facilities are located a short distance away in the Piazza Centre or Gilmour Street Station. Assistance can be provided on arrival if required.
