20 September 2025 (13:00 - 16:00) We are happy to invite you to our event for Glasgow's Doors Open Day weekend. We'll be cooking up a feast of traditional Afghan dishes, using veggies grown on our plot! Please come and join us! We will share food – cooked with ingredients from our Glasgow Afghan United Community Allotment. We also have a beautiful cook book for sale – made with love by members of our Women’s Empowerment Project. Overview At the GAU allotment we promote environmental conservation and give members a space to grow their own plants, fruit and vegetables. The allotment helps members connect hands-on with nature in a therapeutic exercise that’s good for physical and mental health, as well as good for the household budget. Limited accessible paths through allotment to our plot. A bit bumpy, and might be muddy if it has rained. Parking on street outside allotments
