Glasgow Cathedral Festival: Glasgow’s Renaissance Glass Curator Edward Johnson explores the methods and innovative techniques used by glaziers to create one of largest and most spectacular collections of medieval and Renaissance stained glass in the world. Overview This year’s audiences are invited to a programme of music, film and art that responds directly to our incredible venue - drawing together cultural and scientific influences and framing these through the lens of human experience. GCF2025 marks Glasgow’s 850th anniversary, celebrating the city’s spirit of innovation and sense of community, proudly celebrating the motto that ‘People Make Glasgow’. Alongside the live event, we are presenting new iconography by visual artist Frances Law, and artwork responding to the event themes created by members of the community. This will all be displayed in a special, free exhibition in the Nave of the cathedral during the festival. Tours may move around multiple locations—if you require assistance with mobility, please contact us at the time of booking and we will ensure your access needs are supported.
