Villeneuve-sur-Lot knew two brotherhoods of penitents, the blues from 1611 and the whites in 1657. The chapel of the Pénitents bleus, formerly located rue du Puits-Couleau, was demolished in the early 20th century. On the other hand, the chapel of the White Penitents still exists on the left bank of the bastide and retains a rich religious furniture characteristic of this community. Come and discover it!
