The Great Fishery: a human odyssey
You thought you knew everything about Brittany? Binic-Etables sur Mer offers you a salty break. Between cliffs and gulls, the small port of Côtes-d'Armor reinvents itself through a unique journey: The Great Fishery, a human odyssey. An immersive wandering between Newfoundlanders, sailboats, boarding rites and forgotten figures including a local heroine with a delicious name: Maria Verry-Carfantan, alias the Golden Codfish! It’s raw, iodized, poignant. And you can visit it by walking. On the occasion of the European Heritage Days, the port of Binic lifts the veil on this open-air museographic project, between archives, sensitive testimonies and contemporary scenography. In Binic Town Hall, you will be welcomed to discuss the research carried out to create this route, with the dissemination of short films, witnesses of our past.
