Clara Heritage Society presents an engaging evening exploring Clara’s Industrial Heritage and its fascinating links to Guglielmo Marconi, pioneer of modern wireless technology. Discover how Clara's industrial past is intertwined with the birth of the modern world. After the presentation, join a walking tour along Clara’s Marconi Dickensian Mile, where you’ll encounter stories etched into the town’s historic industrial buildings and dwelling houses. There will be on exhibit handmade lace and dolls, made by the women who partook in the six-week Creative Ireland Lace Making Workshops and a tapestry rug made by women who partook in a Collaborative Creative Ireland Workshop.
