13 September 2025 (11:00 - 15:00) 14 September 2025 (13:00 - 16:00) Victorian gothic church was built by James Richmond, mason and provost of the town, between 1896 and 1899 in Ballochmyle sandstone. It has a dominating 140 ft, four-stage tower with a spire atop and was funded by Miss Crichton, the daughter of the factor on the Dumfries House Estate, in commemoration of her family. There are fine stained-glass windows dedicated to them in the style of James Ballantine and Sons. The organ is over 100 years old and the church is a venue for the Cumnock Tryst and as such has welcomed world-renowned singers and musicians. Visitors will be welcomed into this beautiful church, be able to read about the stained-glass windows, the depictions, the story behind them, information both verbal and on display will recall the church history from inception to the precent day. Their will be opportunity to have tour around the main building, vestry and the church halls. There will be an opportunity at times to hear music, look at videos of previous activities that have taken place within the church, read about the history of ministers that have preached within the church. Tours of the church building will take place at various times throughout the event.
