Morlaàs: highlighting the stained glass windows of Mauméjean
The square Sainte-Foy de Morlaàs, first capital of Béarn, will come alive on Sunday, September 21 all day to honor the stained glass windows of Mauméjean.
On the program:- Conference room of the town hall | from 10am to 6pm An exhibition will tell you the story of this dynasty of world-famous master glassmakers, whose workshops were born in Pau in 1862. A documentation will allow you to go visit churches of the Country of Morlaàs exceptionally open this September 21. Two passionate artisans will be present to share the love of their profession: 🔹 Brigitte Nogaro, stainer in Saint-Paul-lès-Dax Since 1984, this master glass artist shares her activity between the creation of works and the restoration of ancient stained glass windows, notably in classified monuments. The stained glass windows are made in the purest artisanal tradition, with quality and durable materials: mouth-blown antique glass. 🔹 Gino Martinelli, stonecutter in Gabaston The passion that has driven him for more than 20 years is reflected in his achievements. Very attached to the rules of art and traditional know-how, he creates all types of custom works, both in creation and restoration. Its guideline: the intrinsic quality of the work carried out must be at least equivalent to that of the work on which it is involved.
