Discovering the know-how of the Maison Hennessy!

For these European Heritage Days, the House exceptionally opens the doors of the Atelier des Éditions Rares. Calligraphy: calligraphy is an ancient skill, initially practiced on oak barrels, it now extends to paper to personalize precious carafes. It will be possible to try some exercises guided by the calligraphy experts of the Maison. Silk thread installation: discovery of this singular gesture which consists in dressing the neck of the carafes with silk thread. Patience, dexterity and meticulousness are essential to this customization technique. This will be an opportunity to bring the precise gestures of the Maison’s experts into resonance with the look and virtuosity of Diao Juan, winner of the 2025 Yishu 8 Prize for Chinese Craftsmanship, who blends her traditional Shu embroidery technique with contemporary art. Demonstrations of his weaving art will be offered, and the artist will be able to introduce visitors to a few embroidery stitches. Placing wax seals: presentation of the rich collection of ancient seals from the House and demonstration of current techniques for placing wax seals. Informations Free, subject to availability.
