The history(story) of the church Saint-Barthélémy is confidentially bound(connected) to the castle, to the family Dufay and to the work of dynasty Virebent. The church is one of the most old(former) north of Toulouse, based(established) by the bishop Saturnin of Toulouse, more known as saint Sernin. A big(great) working campaign(countryside) was led at the end of the XIXth century, pulling(entailing) its almost complete reconstruction, reconstruction in which the Virebent family took an active part. The influence of Virebent is so prégnante in the church Saint-Barthélémy: of the manufacturing of furnitures by the factory, in the creation of the painted decorations(sets), or in the financing of this reconstruction, of which Augustus Virebent (the father) was one of the main donors. Several elements of furniture were registered in conformance with(for) Historic monuments in 1991 and the building was registered totalite in conformance with(for) Historic monuments there in 2016.
