Aperçu

The Hotel Dieulafoy is a mansion designed in 1895 by the architect Emile Vaudremer (architect in Paris of the Buffon high school, Notre Dame d'Auteuil, the prison of the health...) for Marcel and Jane Dieulafoy, renowned orientalist archaeologists. Come discover its particular architecture, between rationalism of the late nineteenth century and Gothic inspirations. Come and also immerse yourself in the many interwoven stories that this hotel has hosted: the story of the Dieulafoy, two surprising characters at the heart of the social scene of the early 20th century, heritage enthusiasts and great art lovers, but also the history of the different Red Cross movements at the time in which they participated thanks to a collection of historical objects and photos. Bequeathed to the Relief Society for the Military Wounded (ancestor of the Red Cross) in 1920, it became the place of residence of its President, before being taken over by the Territorial Delegation of the French Red Cross of Paris. You will then discover the action of the French Red Cross in Paris today (rescue, social action...) Initiations to first aid and visits to a prompt rescue vehicle will also be offered. Several guided tours of the site will be organized over the weekend. Informations Free guided tour. Reservation required (12 places per visit). Book Accessibility
