On the occasion of the European Heritage Days, come and discover the exhibition Fragments and Metamorphoses at the chapel of Corbelin. By using the chapel of Corbelin as a setting, artists Mireille Vautier and Raluca Draniceanu are interested in the multiple states of a place, an object, an image. Mireille Vautier chose to imagine what the successive states of this chapel evoke for her: memories of humanity, relics and landscapes. Fragments that memory sometimes recomposes and transforms. This theme, which has long been at the centre of its concerns, is represented here by a work recently completed that includes 113 photos, 1 26-minute video projection and a collection of photos accompanied by a short text telling the genesis of the project. This one will be accompanied by some objects (of small dimensions), placed on pedestals or suspended. For Raluca Draniceanu, the various transformations of the chapel evoke multiple-time memories: memory and forgetting, inscription and erasure. Image of this permanent change, the ruin of the chapel has become a home for a tree that rises to the center of its nave. Taking up this metaphor of the beginning, she visualized, inside the chapel, a more or less fictional forest. Paper works sit alongside a set of sculptures, the set is named 'Futaie'. Made up of shrubs, branches or ivy links (sculpted, painted or engraved) sometimes wrapped in a light wax veil, it recomposes with the architectural metamorphosis of the place and questions memories.
