Mon Atelier Galerie offers a tribute to the hilltop village of Lurs and more particularly to the heritage and landscape of the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. Ideally located in the heart of the historic center, against the Old chapel of the Penitents and at the entrance of one of the village gates, the workshop is architectured by a beautiful space in stone vaults seen from the 18th century. The exhibition consists of a presentation of contemporary photographs and graphic fragments related to clay. From a personal story and a handful of clay soil, I compose images where pigmented roofs, intense gales, and crazy skies of rain intersect. My purpose is a tribute to the color of clay, to the material of clay... heritage of soil, roofing and architectures. I propose a restitution of photographic projects dedicated to nature where I intervene with a plastic approach made of interventions on the image or on clay volumes, by the techniques of drawing... collage... graphics. In situ, the evolving work of the gesture at the workshop will be visible and explained to visitors during their visit. The proposed creative approach evolves towards documentary fable: the objects are indeed there, the landscapes really exist, but through artistic and graphic work they free themselves from reality.
