Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 September, the Armed Forces in the Antilles open their doors to you as part of the European Heritage Days! Come and discover the Fort Desaix, an emblematic place of Martinique built in the 18th century at almost 146 m altitude! It constitutes today the most imposing fortification of the Vauban type in Martinique! During a 1-hour guided tour, learn more about this building as well as the history and missions of the 33rd Marine Infantry Regiment and discover these places usually closed to the public: fort moat, prison, regimental hall of honor, ... We are expecting many of you there! Conditions of Access: • Free access; • As part of the organization of Heritage Days on a classified site with military character, the data collected during your registration will be transmitted to the competent authorities. This information may be subject to verification by the State services.
