Free visit of the ramparts of Villefranche-de-Conflent

Sell discover ramparts built in the Middle Ages and transformed under the reign of Louis XIV by Vauban. Covered ramparts on two levels, a unique architecture in the work of Vauban. You will also have access to the Bastion du Dauphin which has been restored, it is open for visits since February 2025. Three exhibitions are also to be discovered:

• an exhibition of photographs on Villefranche de Conflent
• an exhibition on the mines of Escaro Aytua
• an exhibition on Vauban A game booklet for children can be requested at the reception. And new in 2025, an audioguide system via QR code is now available. The open access visit is free on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 September from 10am to 6pm (last access at 6pm, closing of the site at 7pm).
