The Maison de la Rivière vividly traces a very old navigation system, the only one in France on such a vast basin. it allowed to connect for a millennium the historic provinces of Anjou and Maine. This story is told to you by a passionate volunteer guide who relies during the visit on numerous objects and mediation supports adapted to all audiences: authentic elements of a marinière door, object collection, reconstitutions, 12-meter model retracing the different developments on the rivers between causeway and mill, marinière gate, lock at sas and flour mill... , not forgetting the acoustic corridor that immerses us in the lives of local residents at the heart of the conflicts of interest that reigned in the 19th century.
