Heritage is the collection of important things we inherit from the past and must take care of. It can be cultural, such as monuments, traditions, or art, or natural, such as landscapes and protected areas. It helps us understand our history and identity.

Burgos has a very diverse heritage. The Cathedral stands out, as it is one of the most important Gothic monuments in Spain. There is also the Monastery of Las Huelgas, the Castle, the Arch of Santa María, the Camino de Santiago that crosses the city, and the Atapuerca archaeological sites, along with the Museum of Human Evolution. All of this shows that Burgos has been a key location at different moments in history.

What represents me most about Burgos' heritage is the blend of history and nature. For example, the Cathedral impresses me because it is part of the everyday landscape and makes me feel that I live in a city with a great history. I also identify with places like the Paseo del Espolón or the Castle itself, because they are places where I have spent time with family and friends. For me, this heritage is not just something ancient, but something that is part of my life and how I understand my city.
