Hello everyone, for this edition of European Heritage makers, we are proud to present a video about two famous Neapolitan symbols such as “Castel dell`Ovo” with its magic egg protecting the city and its people from disaster or danger and “ the legend of the beautiful mermaid Parthenope”. We believe this legend is a powerful and significant cultural expression of the European mermaid mythology present in our territory but also in other cities of our continent like Varsavia and Copenaghen for example, even if with different plots and cultural significance. But, we love to think we ALL share the same feelings of fear and attractions towards the fabulous but often dangerous tale of charming mermaids!
