Panoramica

Igorre, Biscay, is a town placed in the basque country. In this video we explain the history of Olentzero, which is a character in Basque Christmas tradition. According to Basque traditions, Olentzero comes to town late at night on 24 December to drop off presents for children. The language spoken in this video is Basque (euskara), which is the last surviving Paleo-European language spoken indigenously in Europe, a true and unique european intangible heritage that we preserve in the basque regions.
