A number of World War II Shannon Estuary Pillboxes were documented during the Foynes to Limerick Road Project (including Adare bypass). The site visit, with Tom Cassidy, will last 1 hour and starts at 8pm sharp and will end by 9pm. The pillboxes are located 300m from the carpark and can be reached by a relatively easy walk. Please wear appropriate footwear/outdoor clothing. This is a ticketed event and we will only allow people access with a valid ticket to visit the site. There is limited parking spaces on the site and so tickets are limited and based on number of people within each car. Please select a ticket which represents the number of people within your car who will come along for the visit. If you cannot attend please let the organiser know.
