Aperçu

The town of Kaštela is an area of rich cultural heritage that has been intensively restored in the past couple of years through the projects co-financed by the EU funds and through tenders of the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia. The “Perpetuum baštine” (Heritage Perpetuum) project was used to produce complete documentation required for restoration of five historical units that cover castles, elements of residential building, archaeological park and a modern interpretative centre with a glasshouse. Additionally, the Value and Underwatermuse projects researched and restored two archaeological sites, whereas the project of revitalisation of Villa Nika restored a valuable secession villa. The lecture will present the results of these projects as well as the future plans.
