Muchos sitios arqueológicos nos son conocidos porque su entorno está envuelto en un halo de relatos mágicos, fascinantes o tenebrosos que hablan de batallas épicas, de prodigios increíbles, de hechos sobrenaturales, de antiguas diosas, de gentiles o de moros. A lo largo de la historia muchos lugares ocupados por grupos humanos se han abandonado por causas diversas, extendiéndose sobre ellos un manto de tierra y de olvido que, sin llegar a cubrirlos totalmente, insinúa, como un paño mojado, realidades pretéritas. Las anomalías en la tierra y en la memoria colectiva constituyen los pliegues de ese manto que nos facilita acercarnos al pasado. Acompañados por el arqueólogo y etnógrafo Juan José Hidalgo haremos un recorrido por los espacios del museo para descubrir uno de esos pliegues: el de la memoria recreada a través de leyendas que constituyen un legado inmaterial que debemos preservar.

Many archaeological sites are known to us because their surroundings are shrouded in a halo of magical, fascinating or tenebrous tales that speak of epic battles, incredible prodigies, supernatural events, ancient goddesses, gentiles or Moors. Throughout history, many places occupied by human groups have been abandoned for various reasons, spreading over them a mantle of earth and oblivion which, without covering them completely, hints, like a wet cloth, at past realities. The anomalies in the earth and in the collective memory constitute the folds of this mantle that allow us to approach the past. Accompanied by the archaeologist and ethnographer Juan José Hidalgo, we will take a tour of the museum's spaces to discover one of these folds: that of the memory recreated through legends that constitute an immaterial legacy that we must preserve.
