La oveja carranzana, autóctona de nuestro valle, ha gestado a lo largo de la historia grandes familias de pastores. Ellos, los encargados de las labores más rudas del pastoreo: cuidado, trashumancia, ordeño… Y ellas, las mujeres, encargadas de la vida en el caserío y los quehaceres más delicados. La cultura del pastoreo, su arquitectura, toponimia, tradiciones, gastronomía, etc. pervive en nuestro valle, con toques actuales, pero sin perder la esencia. En esta experiencia nos sumergiremos en esta forma de vida, aprovechando la feria ganadera, agrícola y artesana que se celebra este día en la localidad, con su concurso de oveja latxa y carranzana y “saboreando” —en el sentido más amplio de la palabra—, su rico patrimonio.

The carranzana sheep, native to our valley, has generated throughout history large families of shepherds. They, the ones in charge of the roughest shepherding tasks: care, transhumance, milking... And they, the women, in charge of the life in the farmhouse and the most delicate chores. The shepherding culture, its architecture, toponymy, traditions, gastronomy, etc. survives in our valley, with modern touches, but without losing its essence. In this experience we will immerse ourselves in this way of life, taking advantage of the livestock, agricultural and artisan fair that is celebrated this day in the town, with its latxa and carranzana sheep contest and "savoring" -in the broadest sense of the word-, its rich heritage.
