The Walking Tour of Carrickmacross aims to bring alive the vibrant history of the Town, including the Famine Times, the two families who owned the town for many years: The Shirley Estate and the Bath Estate, and the War of Independence.

This event will also feature the history of the rent collectors office for the bath estate and information on the recent conservation techniques used to restore the original windows and metal doors and spy holes.
