Join Tralee Tidy Towns on a free mermaid's purse/ elasmobranch egg case ID event to celebrate Water Heritage Day on Sunday 25th August with expert input from Louise Overy of Munster Technological University. Did you ever wonder about the mermaids' purses you find on the beaches around Tralee? Learn about the sharks, skates and rays that depend on the Blue Dot, Outer Tralee Bay area and how to identify egg cases you find on the beach.

The event takes place on the beach near the Lock Gates - meet at the parking area of the Lock Gates - and is free of charge
