Celebrating Handmade
Wicklow Craft Foundation are delighted to announce our members showcase of designer crafts featuring ceramics and glass, textiles and leather, wire sculptures and bookmaking on Saturday and Sunday the 17th & 18th August at The School House for Art in Enniskerry from 10am – 4.30pm each day.
The Celebration will include ceramics from Dylan Lucas, Sinead O’Moore, Denise Hannigan, Mide Quinlan-Reddin and Michelle Fulham. Shuttleknit will be showing their unique range of clothing, we will also have felting from Miriam Brady, textiles from Carolyn Huey and jewellery from Mary Daughtery.
Robin Marshall will be demonstrating the skills of making a Turas Leather wallet and Emma- Jane Rushworth will be creating one of her inventive and original wire sculpted forms.
The Wicklow Craft Foundation invites you to drop in and view some of the best handmade products and watch how they are made, there will be live demonstrations in the courtyard from craftspeople on both days. The School House is a super venue with both indoor and outdoor exhibition spaces, plus visitors can enjoy a day in the village where there are lots of places to have a coffee and a bite to eat too.
The celebration takes place during the national August Craft Month and National Heritage Week, highlighting both traditional and contemporary skills in design and craftmanship from these Wicklow based artists who are all members of the Wicklow Craft Foundation.
