The West Cork Oral Heritage Group record, preserve and share memories, folklore and oral tradition associated with West Cork. Our holdings reflect an invaluable record of everyday life in the past, culture, tradition, experience, and social change within the West Cork area and further afield. This event will showcase the planned development of a digital platform for our material and the potential uses of this new resource.
The event will showcase examples of Mac Conmara Heritage Consulting's curation and dissemination of oral heritage material across the country. Jamie Furey is a digital heritage consultant who has worked on a number of major cultural projects including Circular Tales and Catching Stories on behalf of UCC.
