Learn how to record your local wetland heritage with Know Your Wetland using the Know Your 5Km interactive map.

The Know Your 5Km project is an initiative of the Heritage Council, National Museum of Ireland and Irish Community Archive Network. It provides an opportunity to share discoveries about our hidden heritage by recording them on an online interactive map of Ireland. Through this initiative, Know Your Wetland aims to support the public to record and share the natural wetland heritage of their locality.

Know Your 5Km allows you to contribute your own submissions online, or discover the heritage that surrounds us all by exploring what others have shared.

-The benefits of recording and mapping your wetland heritage
-How to locate and view the Know Your 5K map
-What media you can use to record your wetland heritage
-How to make a submission to the Know Your 5K map

Know Your Wetland is coordinated by the Community Wetlands Forum with funding from the Heritage Council. The Community Wetlands Forum is a community-led organisation inspiring communities to enjoy, manage and protect their wetlands for the present and future generations of Ireland.
