Aperçu

Moville Community Complex Development Company invites you to join our leisurely interactive Jewels and Gems walk and talk experience.

Open to all ages and backgrounds we wend our way from Glenburnie via the Moville shore path, then meander through Moville's historic core as far as McCauley's Mill.

Led by Mary Kerrigan, MRIAI, Conservation Architect and SPAB Scholar*, this promises to be an engaging, eye opening experience, with a difference.

Discover 18th, 19th and 20th century architectural jewels and gems that make this picturesque planned town a stand out place among the litany of Ireland's coastal towns.
This event is #6 of 6 guided walking experiences on offer in Moville and environs, throughout Saturday 24th August, as part of Heritage Week.

Depending on your curiosity and energy levels, you are free to participate in up to 3 of these.

Numbers are strictly limited.

To secure your place please register in advance for each walk, separately, on Eventbrite.

Please gather at St Eugene's Hall, James' Street, Moville by 15:15pm for a 15:30pm departure.

A shuttle bus will take the group from St Eugene's Hall to the start point at Lafferty's Lane car park.

To avoid congestion, we ask that you, please, do NOT park at Lafferty's Lane car park.

This is an easy grade walk covering approximately 2km.

Please DO bring your own water bottle AND come prepared for the forecasted weather, wearing comfy walking shoes.

We will have very limited access to public toilets in the course of this walk.
