Presentation - Conservation study on Leahy's Bar, Church St., Ballyporeen
Presentation on a Conservation Study of Leahy's Bar, Church St., Ballyporeen. The results of a report on the early twentieth structure (built c. 1910) known as 'Leahy's Bar' was prepared by Jack Coughlan & Associates, Conservation Architects. The building has been untouched since the early twentieth century and retains a traditional early twentieth century facade and internal layout with original fittings and includes a 'snug'. The results of this report and future plans for the building will be presented with time allocated for Q & A after the presentation.
The proposal for future use of Leahy's Bar is to develop an information hub for the Galty-Vee Valley, a display on the historic sites in the area and a coffee shop.
