Workshop: "Oh my boat!"
Jewel(Flagship) of the architectural heritage of the city, the hotel of Monconseil is for century, the case of the collection of a man who aimed to be witness(baton) of his time(period) and boatman of report(memory) for generations to come, Abel Mestreau. Built in 1738, this mansion is, since the end of the XIXth century a real house of curiosity. Having gathered(collected) by Abel Mestreau, erudite person heir of one of traders' biggest(greatest) families with cognac of Saints, thousands of objects bound(connected) in Saintonge, in decorative arts and in everyday life of the XVIIIth and XIXth centuries, fascinate even today small and big(great). A wonderful collection, in its case of painted woodworks and of parquets(public prosecutor's departments), provoking surprise in every visit.
