The FRAC Poitou-Charentes is one of the three Fonds Régionaux d'Art Contemporain de Nouvelle-Aquitaine. Founded in 1983 in the dynamic of cultural decentralization, FRAC’s main missions are the creation of contemporary art collections, their dissemination throughout the territory through their regional locations and the local partnerships they establish with cultural, social, educational and local authorities. Their dissemination activities are accompanied by mediation actions to facilitate and deepen access to contemporary creative works and approaches. The collection currently has more than a thousand works. Enriched each year with new acquisitions, it is international and representative of the most diverse aesthetics.
